Beginning in 2016 with an intent to stop the increasing rate of homelessness, Dignity has grown from one shelter for women and children to an established charity accommodating up to 250 people every night across New South Wales. Dignity’s goal is to break the cycle and end homelessness in Australia by empowering people to regain control of their lives.

Dignity’s mission is to end homelessness by providing support, food, shelter, clothing, advocacy and education and empowering people to regain control of their lives.

About Dignity

Frustrated with the increasing rate of homelessness. Suzanne Hopman CEO and Founderknew there must be a way to stop the problem from the outset. Her idea was Dignity, a charity focused on empowering people at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness by providing shelter, food, clothing, advocacy and education.Beginning with one shelter for women and children in 2016, Dignity now has 22 location across New South Wales accommodating up to 250 people every night.Stories of homelessness are never the same, and neither is the support Dignity provides. The charity responds to the needs of people in crisis, empowering them to regain control of their lives
